Interactive Browsing: A New Dimension to URL Analysis

We’re excited to announce a new feature in Intezer that revolutionizes how security teams analyze and interact with URLs: Interactive Browsing.

Interactive Browsing, powered by our partnership browser.lol, offers a seamless and immersive experience for securely analyzing URLs like never before. This new feature is designed to support interactive sessions directly from a URL analysis in Intezer, giving SOC analysts a hands-on approach to investigating and understanding the nuances of web-based threats.

How Interactive Browsing Works in Intezer

The secure browsing session allows you to view and interact with content on websites that are risky, malicious, or blocked, without opening the URL in a regular browser.

When you initiate an interactive session in Intezer from a URL analysis result (under the “Actions” menu), you’re seamlessly redirected to an virtual browsing session on a dedicated Intezer instance of browser.lol. This transition is designed to be intuitive and secure, ensuring that you have all the tools you need at your fingertips as a SOC analyst without compromising on safety or efficiency.

Your Security, Our Priority

Your security and trust are paramount. Before you’re redirected to browser.lol for your secure interactive session, we provide a clear explanation to ensure you understand the transition process. This preemptive step is our way of maintaining transparency and security, assuring you that navigating to a third-party site is a safe and informed choice. Importantly, to uphold the highest standards of privacy and security, no data or URLs are stored after you close the session. This means that your browsing data will not be recorded or stored once the session ends, ensuring that your investigative activities remain confidential and secure.

Once you’re done exploring the website, simply closing the browser session will bring you back to Intezer, allowing you to continue your analysis with new insights and data gathered from your interactive browsing experience.

4 Benefits of Interactive Browsing at a Glance

Intezer’s automated URL analysis already gives your SOC team a lot of information, including an image of what the scanned webpage looks like, whether it is malicious, whether it downloads a file (as well as what kind of file and whether it is malicious), and what kind of threat it is. When you have to gather even more information about a suspicious URL, interactive browsing is an important tool for SOC analysts to use.

  1. Interactive Analysis: Dive deeper into URL threats with an interactive environment that goes beyond static analysis. Directly interact with suspicious websites to solve Captcha in phishing websites, learn more about attackers’ intentions, and more.
  2. Safe and Secure Browsing: Safely visit risky URLs and websites without fear of malware or exploits.
  3. Ultra Fast Sessions: No need to wait for VMs to power on or any other reasons for a slow startup. Spawn a virtual browser session within seconds.
  4. Seamless Integration: Effortlessly move between Intezer and browser.lol, enjoying a frictionless experience that prioritizes your workflow.
