CrowdStrike Makes The Forbes Cloud 100 List for Second Straight Year Rising to No. 6

Last year, members of the Forbes Cloud 100 List were introduced with the splashy headline, “Meet the Hottest Private Tech Companies in Cloud Computing.” Being a part of this prestigious group is an accolade companies have yearned for since the first list debuted three years ago. This year CrowdStrike® joins the list for the second year in a row, rising to the number six spot and demonstrating that we continue to be at the forefront of defining cloud-based endpoint protection as the new industry standard.

The significant rise in our placement on the list makes this an especially exciting year for us. CrowdStrike remains the first cloud-native solution to unify such a comprehensive range of endpoint protection solutions. The CrowdStrike Falcon® platform combines next-generation antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), managed threat hunting, IT hygiene, vulnerability assessment and threat intelligence — all delivered via a single lightweight agent — something that is only possible with cloud-based technology. Since its inception in 2011, CrowdStrike has continued to break barriers in the security industry and advance the role of the cloud as a critical component of a modern cybersecurity strategy.

Another reason for CrowdStrike’s inclusion on the list is the explosive global growth the company has experienced over the last year — now counting more than 20 percent of the Forbes 500 among our customer base, which confirms the rise of cloud-native endpoint protection as the new standard in endpoint security. Today, CrowdStrike technology is deployed in more than 175 countries.

The Cloud 100 list is the result of Forbes’ partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, which compile the list and host the winners event. Forbes characterizes the Cloud 100 as “the definitive list of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.” Companies that make the list are recognized within the industry as the top-tier private companies leading the cloud technology revolution, and have gone through a rigorous selection process. The judging panel responsible for selection includes CEOs from top public cloud companies who reviewed the submissions to select, score and rank the contenders. The evaluation process involves consideration across four factors: market leadership, estimated valuation, operating metrics, and people and culture.

Cloud-based security is uniquely designed to meet all the challenges today’s organizations face, including the shortage in cybersecurity talent. A solution that CrowdStrike introduced earlier this year, Falcon Complete™, combines endpoint protection technology with people and processes to offer customers a completely worry-free approach to endpoint protection — putting a team of security experts to monitor and manage an organization’s endpoint security, and be on-hand to instantly respond to incidents. Organizations experiencing a shortage of internal resources immediately receive the highest level of endpoint security, while larger organizations can free-up resources to pursue more long-term security goals.

Another area that is enabled by cloud-native architecture is threat intelligence. The CrowdStrike Threat Graph™ collects and analyzes over 150 billion security events per day gathered from millions of Falcon sensors deployed worldwide. This crowdsourced protection is delivered to all customers via CrowdStrike’s cloud-based, AI-enabled platform — keeping them ahead of today’s current and emerging threats and helping protect their critical data.

As CrowdStrike’s inclusion on this list exemplifies, customers have accepted that the cloud is the only way to deliver security solutions that provide cutting-edge prevention and detection of threats, including known and unknown malware and fileless attacks — while also being able to optimize their internal resources. By mastering the cloud, CrowdStrike is the established leader in providing scalable security that delivers long-term value.
